There are several movie versions of this story. I can only say I really enjoyed this one. Good clean fun.

I think the 1930s screen version of this play with Gene Raymond is still my favorite adaptation of Seven Keys to Baldpate, but this '47 update was close. Just wish they'd gotten a more interesting leading guy than Phillip Terry. He didn't do a bad job, but most of the supporting cast felt like a bigger deal than the guy in the center of things. The rest was well executed murder farce, entertaining and deliberately confusing. Loved Jimmy Conlin as the hermit!
