It was good enough entertainment for a plane ride, but I didn't find it to be as great as many others did. Zoey Deutch was pretty great.

Fast-paced and easygoing office comedy that interwines personal lives with the angst of making it. It makes total difference this was written and directed by women -- men are totally flawed and women don't have to crawl for them; not too many romantic moments but instead a natural journey from friendship to courtship and finally dating. Lead pair is so great in frenzy dialogue and even physical comedy I wanna be friends with them. Charlie's friend pouring coffee on his former boss is aces.

A nice twist on the romcom, surprisingly good. Deutch (who is adorable) and Powell have good chemistry, which is essential, and I like the premise. It was entertaining the whole time, I smiled a bunch of times (but no LOLs), but it succeeds admirably as a romance and well enough as a comedy.

There were a couple laughs, and Glen Powell wasn't awful, but everything else about this film was intolerable -- especially the entire personality of Zoey Deutch's character and everything she said and did. They should have just thrown out the entire script, made Tituss Burgess the star, and let him do whatever he wants.

I watched this movie just to expand my TCI. I tried watching it at 1.75x (my standard for shit movies) but it was so boring and poorly written I had to shut it off. I made it 10 minutes.

Glen Powell with his nerdy hair and still comes off as a handsome man.

Kinda wish it was just about Deutch's aspiring journalist eating popcorn hands-free out of her hoodie while trying to write inspiring sports articles that "make people cry" but fine, this is okay too. The set up hijinks and boss-assistant dynamics both offer their fair share of quirky humour, and the central relationship has plenty of charm, though the film really starts to drag when the former starts to fade in favour of the latter and you're left waiting for the inevitable generic conclusion.

Enjoyable enough romcom in a slightly off-putting corporate office setting. The plot's conceit allows most of the rom to be done by the secondary characters while the ambitious young protagonists get to do mostly com which I think worked well.

Initially quite fun as the assistants set up their bosses, but it fizzles out. The romance is barely there between the two leads. It just sort of ends without a strong bond.

Cute but not cutesy, SET IT UP is an engaging rom-com about career inertia and inappropriate workplace behavior. The film wisely gives its main character coupling plenty of room to exhibit actual human behavior, saving the hot-blooded antics for the antagonists - a brilliant joke about the irritating broadness of typical Hollywood romances. The key is that we grow to like Deutch and Powell as they grow to like one another, putting in the work to gradually earn our affection.

I really like Zoey Deutch, but all of the lead 4 were good here. It's solid for an easy-to-watch rom com that never surprises, but is thoroughly charming and entertaining all the way through.

Watched because I am sucker for romcoms and it had two of the actors from Everybody Wants Some. Powell and especially Deutch have charm in spades. Regretfully the rest of the movie is not even close to matching their charm. Utterly forgettable and by the books.

A bit exaggerated, predictable and on the nose. The usual stereotyping. Way below the acting capabilities of Lucy Liu. So, those things aside, it's a bearable watch. If you are in the mood for a rom com, you can do much worse.

The rare romantic comedy that works. Great chemistry between the leads, many funny scenes and a good supporting cast. While the journey is ultimately predictable, the film avoids many of the usual trappings of the genre and comments on those it embraces.
