Sequin in a Blue Room

Intriguing and quite intense at times queer sex thriller takes a little long setting the scene (and indulges a little too much in sex scenes bordering on the exploitative) but once it kicks into gear as a suspense thriller, Grinsven proves himself a modest master of the genre and while it never goes anywhere you don't expect, the combination of the thriller elements with a study of Leach's coming of age mix and meld quite beautifully (naturalistic performances from all and sundry help).
