A group of friends pays a late-night visit to the city morgue to surprise Amy on her birthday. But the surprise is on them when the one-eyed corpse of brutal psychopath Jacob Goodnight unexpectedly rises from a cold sub-basement slab. The Soska sisters sold out and didn't really try with this one. All they really added was casting Isabelle and Harris and maybe did some sloppy rewrites of scenes to give those two some sassy, "empowered" character. But the script overall shits on any intentions the Soskas may have had of pushing their brand of female driven horror. First act was off to an alright start, but once the big bad starts hacking... Very generic crap.

A mindless slasher with a few jump scares and moderately cute women. The plot is asinine and without the slightest redeeming quality. It is pretty much absolute garbage. Watch it for some stupid carnage, but don't expect anything to be the slightest bit worthwhile.

I feel like I'm the only one who prefers the first one. See No Evil 2 has some awful dialogue (At a morgue, a man asks a girl why she dropped out of medical school, her answer? "Because we all end up here one day") and plenty of ignorant decisions, and even has a moment where multiple people show up out of the blue (a slasher needs dumb people to kill, but that is such a lazy way of doing so). Apart from maybe better kills and Danielle Harris, this sequel is inferior in just about every way.

Once her hot boyfriend bites the dust, Katharine Isabelle carries the entire movie by being the only person who realises they're in a generic slasher and acts accordingly (she clops around in heels and a leather mini-skirt, screaming weirdly and defending her morgue sex next to the corpse of a moralistic serial killer with "I didn't know he was still ALIVE at the time!").

Much much better than the first but as others had noted that wasn't hard. There were a few nice surprises and some extremely stupid parts but over all mildly enjoyable. They did seem to play the Terminator theme once or twice but I can't be sure.

See No Evil 2 is a definite improvement on its predecessor, although one has to wonder exactly how hard that would have been. Throw in some surprises, add a little bit of creativity, and make sure you can see everything for the film's duration, and you've already done better. Kane once again makes for a good slasher villain, and the film's surprises and surprising beauty makes it a slasher film worth your time -- even if it is still just watching empty characters being killed one by one.
