An interesting idea set in a haunting and lonely atmosphere makes for a pretty decent thriller. The pace and tone are slow and somber, with all the actors looking like they haven't slept in a few days. This fits the plot but can take away from any real potential for suspense.

Not bad. The Thing was a major influence here. I wanted to like it more, especially where the crew uncharacteristically are working together and on the same page. But the well-trodden sci-fi horror path and a few breakdowns in logic gave me pause.

Sci-fi horror? Sign me up. I liked this one and the desperate time struggle against an seemingly overwhelming enemy in the parasite.

Outer space and the deep ocean have held a similar sense of mystery in my imagination. Therefore, it was a joy to watch Sea Fever bring the unknown of space to the ocean on screen. It showed there is still much to discover, learn, and fear.

The thick Irish accents were annoying, especially in the beginning. Spoken English that needs subtitles is not satisfying. The story was interesting and for the most part, played well. However, too many unrelated calamities striking at once ruined its credibility. Weak writing but with some strong performances. The production quality, special effects, and soundtrack were good considering the limited budget. Overall it was worthwhile but could have been much better.

Interesting premise, but the film doesn't come close to achieving what it could achieve.
