Wile E. Coyote uses, among other things, a dehydrated boulder to try to catch the Road Runner. He applies a drop of water to enlarge it from pebble-size to usual boulder dimensions, but it enlarges as Wile E. is lifting it over his head, coming down on top of him. (imdb)

The beauty of Road Runner shorts is that they're purely gag machines. And that's also their downfall. It's always the same old shit, you know the dynamite is somehow gonna end up blowing up Wile E. Coyote, or the anvil will land on his head, or the cannon will shoot him in the face. This one has the dehydrated boulder bit which is nice, but everything else is mildly amusing but too familiar and predictable.

I'd swear these are getting better as the rest are getting worse.

The backgrounds are getting rougher.
