Scotland Yard

This is about crooks and the Scotland Yard is only in the background. One of Edmund Lowe's tough guy movies. Here in dual roles as a drunken snob and a dirty lowlife. And thanks to the war and plastic surgery the thief takes the rich banker's place with the lovely Joan Bennett as his wife. There isn't much action. Instead dreary dialogue and obvious suspension moments about his identity. So while it had a guy like Donald Crisp to keep the acting good, the movie is a bore.
