Pretty good, but wish it was more of a history of film scores. I particularly liked the famous firsts, like that 1933's "King Kong" was the first movie orchestral score. They did touch on maybe too many musicians too quickly, I'd like to see it as a longer piece or maybe a series.

Meat and potatoes doc that I appreciated because it introduced me to composer which I have hitherto only known by the sound of their famous themes.

A 6-8 episodes series would have been great. It sounds great (duh!) and it gives you just enough to want more, but somehow falls flat.

I especially enjoyed the history of music in film - that was really interesting, and I kinda wish there could've been more on the topic. The film could've easily been a lot longer, covering more of film history as well as profiling more musicians, and in greater depth. I enjoyed the ones they did interview though - seeing their passion for what they do was really nice. It's a fairly simple documentary, but it gets its point across and I enjoyed watching it.

As a lifetime film music fan of collecting soundtracks and enjoying them in and after the theatre experience. I highly recommend this magnificent art of a documentary. On how music has been created for film and how it has changed over time. The film features interviews with many of the great composers and an insight into the music making process to create film scores. Everything here is right up my alley and I thoroughly enjoyed it. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* to any who appreciate a good film score!!!
