Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost

Has all the trappings of a new Scooby-Doo classic, namely, a twist on the formula by having actual supernatural powers. The Hex Girls are a great addition and I hope to see more of them. Would like to have seen more New Englandy features and Ben Ravencroft should have been more like Stephen King. I just want a Scooby gang adventure with the dread of a King film. Fav scene: when they defeat the witch who then drags Ravencroft into the book, and then a freaking burning tree falls onto the book.

It stumbles through a few of its story beats & there are some plot details that don't work, but all-in-all this does just about everything Zombie Island did while also being a little more lighthearted- if not quite as memorable or as iconic. Tim Curry's Ben Ravencroft is a fabulous villain, the voice performances all-around are solid, & the third act definitely makes up for the slow start. Plus, there's the debut of the Hex Girls. Overall, a solid & arguably underappreciated Scooby story.
