Scobie Malone

This is an odd combo: Australian crime mystery from the 70’s with a lot of nudity. But the police procedural side and flashbacks about the victim’s story are quite stuffy and closer to a TV special than exploitation flick. There’s even a sappy theme song. It doesn’t help matters that Jack Thompson is barely serviceable. All in all, this is mainly of interest to those interested in vintage locations such as (then new) Opera house.
