Scarygirl

Visually was where the appeal was. Story wise, Scarygirl (2023) felt a little empty. Half-baked. But at least it was nice to look at.

Scarygirl seems to be aimed solely at young children, as despite having some strong names in the cast-list I doubt most adults will find much enjoyment here. The animation is decent, but the designs are childish. The story isn't particularly engaging, which is a shame as there are a few good ideas that aren't developed with any depth and the plot plays out like a family-friendly video game.

It's not going to set the world on fire, but the animation is solid, there's enough to make you invested in the characters, and it's fun. Probably could have leaned harder into certain aspects, but I enjoyed it.
