People who pays money to see this seriously needs to rethink their lives. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing in this film is funny. I smiled 0 times!

This movie might just make it to IMDb's bottom 100. That said, I laughed during this movie. Quite a lot of times actually. And since I'm not a movie critic, I don't care that it's not a good movie. It's a comedy and it made me laugh, so fuck me, I liked it. Yes, I liked this movie, and I feel very, very alone with my opinion.

While not a shining moment in the series its still a funny parody film with enough to keep you entertained and amused as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Desperately unfunny. After the success of Paranormal Activity, a spoof actually had a lot of potential. Instead SM5s 'humour' focuses mostly on crap slapstick jokes which perfectly highlights the cash grab mentality of the entire production. This entry seems to have killed the franchise, which is a mercy killing if this is what we could have expected more of.

So bad that I had seriously forgotten that I watched it the next day. SCary Movie V is bad even by the standards of the series and parody movies. A laugh or two for me, but you would have to be really immature to laugh at all of these jokes. This franchise was dead years ago and should stay like this.

Is Scary Movie 5 a success? Not really, but then apart from the first film, none of them truly are. Save for Scary Movie 2, which was mostly an unfunny bore, they've all had a moderate amount of laughs scattered through a really short running time. That's about all that you need in a spoof movie. Am I laughing a reasonable amount of times? The answer is "yes." It's not good, but it's funny enough that you probably won't regret the just-over-an-hour you spend with it.

I don't know what is worst. The movie or the fact that I sad through the entire 70 minutes. How can a comedy be this unfunny?

This parody-fest starts off ok with some good self-deprecating humor done by Lohan and Sheen. Then when it actually attempts to parody real movies it falls flat on it's face, hard. I guess if I can give any advice watch Mama, Paranormal Activity, The Evil Dead and Black Swan and you'll get 95% of the jokes. The best part of this film was the outtakes. I actually laughed during those. Otherwise this movie isn't funny. I was hoping Ashley Tisdale would have brought more to this movie, but no.

To be fair it's scarier than some of the films they're "parodying", mainly because this film includes a full three minutes of Lindsay Lohan. I can't even call it a parody since there are no jokes here. Just people falling down, hitting themselves, making goofy faces and there's a fart now and then. Shame on all of you, makers of Scary Movie 5. And shame on me for even making it to the end. The self-hate, it burns.

We’re a long way from John Houseman describing the process of flipping the bird, but that’s the problem with these latter day spoof films – everyone is in on the joke, and while eg. Sheen and Lohan’s depraved bedroom activities are amusing for the gusto of their performances, there’s no angle or wit to the comedy, outside of the reference to their overly familiar public personas. Still the thunderous beating some of these gags come at you with raise the requisite chuckles.

Not great, but I still had to laugh at the stupid jokes here and there. Nevertheless, you can really see how they are desperately trying to recreate the old successes, and without success, no doubt. But it's still miles better than the second film in the franchise!

The Scary Movie series are far from being great films; the Wayans Bros. entries are solid, and 3 and 4 have their moments, but this is just putrid. Not even Snoop can save it, though his presence bumps my score up a bit.

fast forward through most of the intro and everything related to non-horror movies and you get 30 minute parody of mama/insidious that's got some bite, and more jokes than slapstick for the 1st time since the the second movie.

I had some laughs at first, but it seemed like they ran out of jokes somehow. The pacing and humour style stood out from the 4 previous movies, and not in a good way, it felt more like a bad copycat of a Scary Movie. Weakest of the series

There are still some worthy jokes to be found here. Just no quality. The series has hit a low unfortunately. 1 good joke for every 50 is not quite the ratio I would have liked for a fifth entry.

By far the worst instalment of the franchise, "Scary Movie 5" is basically worthless of its title. I found myself giggling at some of the stupid gags and moronic humour but this film is a long way from the natural, laugh-out-loud, hilarious comic timing of the better films that preceded it. The writers clearly penned this with their eyes closed and their brains shut down. Everything just screams half-arsed and stays in the shadow of what came before. But I can't say that I had a bad time either.

You know all those movies that are actually creative, original and fun to watch? Well here we are occasionally reminded of those in between people hitting their heads, and tits. Who the fuck is paying for this utter shite?

Scary Movie 5 was an act of desperation by the Weinsteins to increase profits during a slump period. It was a bad idea to ressurect the franchise, and they made matters worse by cutting the budget, nixing Farris and replacing Zucker with Lee, which virtually sealed its fate. Zucker/Proft's script is lazy and Lee's direction is godawful. While Sheen and Lohan have mildly amusing cameos, Farris' absence is keenly felt, and the cast goes through the motions down the laugh free road. Avoid.

Know that this movie will be DIRECTLY compared to this year's other horror trope spoof, "A Haunted House", which I enjoyed. Intro was okay, liked the Benny Hill bit. Snoop Dogg is fucking AWESOME and deserved 100% of the screen time. Child hostility was also good for cheap pops. And props for Terry Crews and the scenes with the apes. But the sum of the parts isn't as good as it could/should be, and the whole thing didn't feel as fresh as "A Haunted House". It's okay, just not special.

I saw this because I needed to kill a few hours nd the person I was with didn't want to see Iron Man 3. I can't really think of it as a movie... I laughed a couple times and it wasn't painful for the most part.

It's better than Scary Movie 2, but that's just about the only accolade I can muster. Ridiculous, stupid, and rarely funny. Odd satirical targets too: Black Swan? Surely there's not much demographic crossover between that and this?
