"Black cod." As you get older either your sense of humor sharpens to such a degree that only the most well timed fart joke can muster a mirthless chuckle at best, or you become the easiest laugh. I think it's starting to happen , I'll cherish these fleeting moments of clarity before you see me in the audience of a Jeff Dunham 2025 world tour losing my mind over a puppet with an opera singing boner.

Scary Movie 4: Thrown into a garbage bag, tipped over, spilled into a dog's food bowl, fed to the dog, hacked outside on the front porch, rotted, picked up but the dog again, to which the dog craps all over the rest of the franchise with this installments onto a highway, where it is ran over by a truck, rained on and, eventually, hopefully, forever forgotten as it is as worthless as I have described it.

Try to endure this torture, I dare you, I double dare you, movie fans. There's nothing here that could make a sane person consider seeing this pile of steaming crap. And yes, I might not be someone who could be regarded as a sane person. At least not after seeing this atrocity.

One of the funniest of the franchise but it seems almost desperate for horror movies to lampoon so it heads for sci-fi like War of the Worlds and Brokeback Mountain. I laughed quite a bit and can highly recommend it if you love the series.

Awful, awful, awful. I have a stomach for raunchy humor, but this is just in bad taste. I liked the other Scary Movies and I tried to laugh at this one, but it became distressing because the jokes are just not funny.

I did something, I have done only 2 times before.. I just stopped watching. Where the first and third movie was.. sort of enjoyable, this movie is, just as the second one, total crap. Lame crap, always the same kind of stupid jokes, ... The only good thing in this movie is Leslie Nielsen, he made me laugh, everything else.. Worthless.

Still pretty scattershot like most modern parody movies. This has its moments and its misses. Could have been a better film and a dissapointment coming from Zucker, but not TOO bad.

Grosse comédie balourde, qui n'a plus que ses acteurs fétiches pour continuer de faire fonctionner la parodie. Tout sonne faux, c'est très décevant, et rarement drôle, sauf Regina Hall toujours en forme.

Given the elements of ZAZ who are involved, this should have been sharper and funnier, though a reasonable percentage of gags score a decent chuckle, and Nielsen's UN sequence is a genuinely solid set piece of silliness. Would likely fall into the category of blandly forgettable, but for Bierko's pretty bang-on Cruise impression.

It's nowhere near as funny as the last one. However Scary Movie 4 is still much better than it had any right to be. With David Zucker at the helm it carries the same style of humor and attempted level of quality from the last. Even for the Dr. Phil cameo at the beginning, the film is well worth checking out.

Zucker takes another stab at a modern film parody with mixed results. This time he lampoons Saw, The Grudge, The Village and War of The Worlds. Faris is always fun and Bierno does a fine job at skewering Cruise, but the scattershot nature of the jokes and the arbitrariness of the plot continue to be sore points that are hard to overlook. Nielsen once again steals the show as the clueless Bush like president, and the scene of him telling racial jokes at a UN conference is genuinely funny.

I enjoyed it more than most it seems, but it's certainly a weak entry to the series that was clearly running out of ideas by this stage. I still enjoy Faris and Hall when they work together though, and I got a few cheap laughs here and there.

There were a couple of decent gags and quite a lot of dross. Anna Faris is always good to watch in these, and I thought the madcap story held up better than in some similar films. The people who make these could do to set slightly higher standards for themselves. I enjoy parodies and zany gags if they're done well, e.g. Airplane, Naked Gun, Spy Hard. Well this is one movie that Leslie Nielsen could not save. Bet it made the producers a quick buck though.

Scary Movie 4 is a moderately funny mash-up of a couple of different plots. At the audience it throws some funny jokes, a lot of unfunny jokes, and some others which I'm not even sure were jokes. It relies on physical comedy and not as much vomit, which is probably a plus. Some of the references are clever, some are not. And I couldn't shake the feeling that it does War of the Worlds better than Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise did.

"Scary Movie 4" is a worthy continuation of the franchise. It doesn't reach the comedic heights of the previous installment but remains very funny. A lot of trademark jokes are herein repeated with success while there's a lot of newer ones, suggesting that the makers have all but run out of steam.
