A mysterious killer video tape is circulating around. One look at this tape and you have seven days left to live. News Reporter Cindy Campbell (Faris) witnesses this video tape and tries to work out a way to prevent her death. But this is not the only mystery to appear. Crop circles have been appearing in the local farm of Tom (Sheen) and George (Rex). With help from Aunt Shaneequa (Latifah), Cindy suspects that the aliens may be linked with the killer tape and must now work out both mysteries before it's the end of the world. (imdb)

Reteaming genre legends like Zucker and Nielson and roping in Sheen should have been enough to achieve comic nirvana. Moreoever, no actress plays the lovable doe-eyed bimbo like Faris, and she is paired up with her male equivalent in Rex: they make a delightfully dumb couple. But no amount of talent can make this screenplay totally work, even with strong peripheral support from Anderson, Griffin and Hart. The jokes just aren't funny enough, but there are some outlandishly inspired moments

The most consistent, and clear entry in the series. Has many laugh-out-loud moments, and many other laughs that keep the movie brisk. Anna Faris has the most focus in this outing, and that can only be considered the smartest move of the franchise. Plus Regina Hall is too freakin' funny.

Well dang the third one is the best so far. I mean you know these movies have a certain ceiling for how good they can be, given the level of idiocy. But this at least makes a try for that ceiling. “Tom - I’ll need a ride home!”

Whether this is objectively better or worse than any other spoof films from the last 20 years is an unanswerable question the only question that matters is "did I laugh?" In this case, harder and more frequently than I would care to admit! Highlighted by Sheen's neglected and underrated capability at savage dead pan, Anderson and McCarthy's amusing curtain raiser, as well as Latifah's chairs, which get the biggest and most shameless laugh. A few nice moments for patron saint Nielsen as well.

The funniest by far of all the Scary Movie films. The third in this series is absolutely not for everybody. But for those with the sense of humor to match it leaves you breathless from all the laughter. With gag after gag after gag. Non stop comedic gold to offset the occasional detour into Scary Movie 2 territory. David Zucker takes over the franchise and adds his distinct humor, and adds yet another wonderful collaboration with Leslie Nielsen.

Hey, it's better than the first two! This one actually gave me a couple laughs! With that being said, it's still straight-up dumb, and in a lazy way. References are made to movies multiple times, without any of the references being humorous. Leslie Nielsen's role is a rehash without anything interesting added, and Anna Faris can do much better.

Annoying, only occasionally funny and almost exclusively thanks to Faris's charms, it's just a bad movie that passes references as jokes and it took the crudeness of the first two to the extreme.

Certainly better and funnier than the second installment, but not worthwhile in most ways. The first one had some wit to its parody of horror, but this one isn't even befit for the title of Scary Movie, it makes fun of the goddamn Matrix.

A big improvement on '2' but not as good as '1'. Not quite sure how '8 Mile' gets parodied so much (Eminem's acting wasn't that scary) even if those scenes were funny enough. The Ring sections are very well done, and always good to see Leslie Neilsen do his thang, and even better to see an Airplane gag get revisited.

Is Scary Movie 3 good? No. But is it funny enough to be a watchable film? Sure, I guess. I laughed enough to say that if you decide to watch it, you'll probably laugh enough to say it wasn't a complete waste of time. Its humor is largely of the bodily fluid and physical pain variety, although there's something here for everyone. Its plot is a mess, it's all over the place, and that kind of works. I don't think Scary Movie 3 is great, but for what it is, I guess it's somewhat successful.

With David Zucker and Pat Proft on board, "Scary Movie 3" is the funniest and thus best entry in the series. The laughs-per-minute ratio and overall pacing is pretty good, the cast (which includes Charlie Sheen, Simon Rex, Queen Latifah, Leslie Nielsen and even George Carlin) is very strong, and the humour is mostly on point, ranging from some hilarious dialogues and puns to lots of great visual humour and quite a few ridiculous setpieces that successfully poke fun at several successful films.
