Not really a horror film but rather a silly "spooky" comedy. It's decent for 70 minutes of mindless entertainment that you'll start to forget as soon as you finish watching it.

I found it weird they managed to make "scary" comedy with the scarecrow dude so lacking in every department. I usually love silly comedies like this, but Scared Stiff (1945) didn't have the right people to make this funny, or even interesting as far as the mystery element went.
