Working stiff Tom Tupper is stopped by a 'man on the spot' reporter during his daily commute. Asked for his opinion on male/female relations, Tom tells the radio audience that he thinks men could do a better job running the household than women. When he arrives home, his infuriated wife Margaret proposes that her husband put his money where his mouth is. The couple switch roles, with Margaret going to the office and Tom cooking and cleaning.

This comedy exists because someone wanted to use it to sell kitchen utilities. Thankfully they don't use too much time on actual advertisement, but Sauce for the Gander (1942) isn't exactly among the essential funny movies of 1942. Highlight is the beautiful Evalyn Knapp in her final credited role (she'd make one uncredited the next year). In the lead we have Damian O'Flynn, without that helping things. As his wife though, Joan Woodbury was super professional and the one keeping it together.
