Yakov Protazanov directs a story full of religious symbols, sin and sexuality! A seemingly peaceful church family gets challenged when a stranger comes into their lives and teaches them passion. The stranger of course is the Devil himself. This sets into motion things that will change their lives and.... end it. Then we jump ahead a few years and Satan is back! This time stalking their now adult kid! It's a somewhat exhausting film, but in it's sleazy way is both fascinating and grotesquely fun.
