Satan in High Heels

The kind of movie John Waters would love: tough females who talk like hardboiled private eyes making their way in a "sleazy" business. It's generally this dialogue (& some cut off framing & extras who look at the camera) that makes it seem campy even though most of these actors are solid & the filmmakers clearly spent money on professional songs. But although the dialogue's got attitude it usually isn't zingy enough & the film doesn't show characters developing - you just realize it's occurred.
