A spoofish movie in the tradition of religious scare films. It is well done I guess, but for some reason it really didn't connect with me. I think it's because it was not really over-the-top enough. Berryman is hilarious, and it was great seeing Angus Scrimm again. I tacked on a full 10 points higher than I was going to rate it for the ending.

It's very hard to deal with religion in horror movies without either condemning it or being too preachy. Satan Hates You tries very hard to walk this fine line, and at times slips over to both sides of the fence. Overall though, it's really a very good movie with both some darkly comic and slightly disturbing moments.
