Wonderfully bizarre, this Mexican family/kids Christmas fever dream makes for a great gift for fans of "so-bad-it's-good" movies this holiday season. For those spending the holidays alone, or don't have friends and family to share in this particular movie's special brand of Christmas insanity, I recommend making a Christmas party of your own this year with some strong eggnog and the MST3K version of the film as you're gonna need some company when you dive deep into this feliz navidad acid trip.

Holy balls is this movie bizarre. Find the MST3K version and enjoy the madness.

Perhaps better than any other Christmas movie, this one illustrates that Santa Clause mythology is propaganda meant to desensitize children from an early age to the iniquities of capitalism and the omnipresence of mass surveillance. Forsake the devil, observe good morals, and indulge in the comforting pleasures of conformity. Maybe next Christmas, Lupita.

God, this is a nightmare. I mean I have to give it points for how committed it is to being weird, but this is a disturbing look into a seriously messed-up world. And it just keeps adding so much crazy mythology to everything! Makes great bad movie night material.

Honestly I gave this one a high score mostly due to the unique mythology in this movie, I kind of want to see more stories like this where they have a different take on the Santa Claus stuff. That and the episode of mst3k that featured this was as usual funny as hell!

Because I have a soft spot for hilariously bad old movies, I wanted to genuinely like this one. But the truth is that it's about as Christmasy as a bad acid trip. If the blown out colors don't make you ralph, then the film's apathetic and bizarre attempts to be heartwarming will. You see, a devil is after Santa Claus, and if you can't find cinematic delight at Santa's ability to foil diabolical hijinx and get stuck in trees, well, this film isn't for you. It sure wasn't for me! Yay MST3K.

There are many movies that are "so bad it's good" but are actually not that watchable. This was a well thought-out universe that someone decided, yeah, Santa's going to have terrifying spy equipment, lives in space/a cloud city, and faces off against Pitch (couldn't they have gone for the Satan wordplay?). Plus, Merlin. Fav scene: introducing each of the different ethnicities and one-upping the stereotypes each time. With such a strong start the movie can only get worse but...it doesn't.

This isn't "so bad it's good," it is "unintentionally hilarious and great" I laughed more watching this than most other Christmas movies I've watched. It did drag noticeably in more than a handful of segments.

Another MST3K movie. This movie is so incredibly odd and creepy the writer should have gotten some sort of medal shortly before being punched in the gonads.

Mawkish turbo-kitsch meets disturbing 50s sci-fi design on microscopic budget. There are definitely some interesting moments, but most of the runtime just drags (more because it's a children's program than because it's a 'bad movie').

Big Brother Santa and his bag of ruffies saves Christmas from a devil whose primary goal is to allow a poor Mexican child get away with stealing a cheap doll.

The worst film I have ever seen which is saying something. I can only assume the writers were on some kind of mind altering drugs. Appalling acting, direction, sets, lighting, sound and storyline. The word plot just doesn't apply here. Don't even think about wasting a moment of your time watching this... So bad it's truly awful.

A straight mess of a movie that tries shoehorn Santa into Christian mythology, and makes Santa look like an incompetent, creepy boob in the process. Like a bad acid trip, really.

I think if I saw this as a kid, I'd be afraid of Santa.

I had this on vhs as a kid. No, I don't know why. It's really creepy, sure, but it's also really boring and annoying as all hell. Made for a good MST3K though.

Wow, this wasn't boering at least, it was just freakin weird. And when Santa was looking at all his little helpers country by country, to me, it looked like Santa was in pedophile heaven. He looked disturbed. This isn't something I would let my kids watch, that is for sure. But the devil and Merlin the magician, all I have to say is WTF!?! Definitley different, but not in a good way.

That's Pitch with a capital B, I guess...you're definitely gonna need Mike & the Bots to get you through this one.

Ambitious, Eclectic and Striking. [MST3k I hadn't watched in ages, so it still had some surprises compared to Conquers the Martians. The riffing is top notch but the skits aren't nearly as good. Still, a seasonal must.]

You have to give this movie a break, because it's a Christmas movie for kids. Buuut as far as good Christmas movies go, it still sucks.
