Ugh, what happened here? The first half of this OVA is basically a recap of the series, yet the different art style makes it harder to tell who is who along with everyone acting completely out of character, especially Kenshin who is almost a completely different person. The whole thing is extremely boring too, and this includes the "action" scenes and the ending tried way too hard to be depressing. Not recommended for anyone, not even for fans of the series and previous OVA (Trust and Betrayal).

It's pretty much the same shit as those flashback episodes you see in a lot of long running TV series only worse because of its poorly written drama and Kenshin himself acting bland and emotionless{which is out of character for him}. Shame, too, because Trust & Betrayal was a fantastic OVA.
