The first of only 3 movies Broadway star Marilyn Miller did. She's sweet and all, but she doesn't have the real dynamic to break-out on the screen. The songs aren't really that memorable. And the dancing left a lot to be desired. But thankfully it had enough comic value to make up for the dreamy eyed romance that kept sinking this. This has Joe E. Brown teaming well with slapstick guys Ford Sterling and the ever old Jack Duffy! Highlight was Brown/Duffy's ladder sequence!
