Probably should be a lower score but I watched it on Halloween and it reminded me of the spooky, cheesy kids specials of my youth.

A girl with a magic sword travels around feudal Japan...well, slaying demons, leading up to a big showdown with the Spider Queen. The monsters are mostly dudes in hilarious furry rubber suits, and the CGI and model effects are all pretty decent. It's just a shame that the story is so inconsequential and the action scenes so unconvincing. It's not terrible, but it reeks of something made for children, a movie about a cute chick killing demons shouldn't have as many boring stretches at this does.
