Jessie Matthews, the sweetest dame of British cinema delivers another adorable musical romance flick of the type she filled the 1930s with. She's cute as a button and could both sing and dance. Here she is a river gal who dreams about performing, and you can bet she gets her chance when Roland Young, a eccentric millionaire, observes her one day by the riverbank. So hardly a original story. Then again this was the type of films that she knew how to make and her audience wanted.
