It's probably bc Shields is so stunning to look at (& not a bad actress at all here), but this is nowhere near as bad as I would have expected for Golan-Globus. In fact if not for the fact that the sexuality is too mature for kids (a sort-of sex scene & a couple of attempted rapes) & the Arab imagery too un-PC for Hollywood these days, this could easily be every young girl's favorite Disney movie. The humor is kiddie and Shields' character is easily 1 of the strongest heroines of the 80's.
