Good cheap entertainment with Bela Lugosi starring as a bad guy in this Republic serial. He's the only reason to really watch SOS Coast Guard. Him and his abused sidekick assassin Thorg played by big Richard Alexander. Ralph Byrd as the hero was as bland as he's ever been. Should stick to doing Dick Tracy. A serial that was carried by the action, both over and under water with gas in boxes being the most dangerous ingredient, then a orderly well thought-out plot.
