This is one of those movies that just makes you feel good, passes by without giving you anything to seriously lambast it for, and even goes above and beyond in some respects. The wide shots done with the anamorphic wide lens are really cool and give it a sense of style. Just really great directing. The script is witty, even though I didn't laugh much. Succeeded more with the "rom" part of the equation. Acting was solid individually but their chemistry didn't reach the level of the best rom coms.

Likeable romcom benefits from charming performances by the leads, a fair few laughs and great London location work. It tries too hard with the quirkiness at times, I found the showy camerawork to be a distraction, and even at less than 90 minutes it sags in the middle, but the ending raises a smile.

A stupendously funny and lively romcom with killer performances and absolutely gorgeous cinematography - early Spike by way of late Wes that present an incredible sense of place. Suffers a little from the conflict which feels too forced - like it was only there because that’s what has to happen in this type of movie.

An utter charmer - brings a modern freshness and vibrancy to memories of the BEFORE trilogy as Oparah and Jonsson sweetly circle each other for 90 minutes. Might have scored some more points if it didn’t indulge in ostentatious touches (too much hideous fish-eye), and the boy-loses-girl sequence is an unnecessary redundancy, but all is forgiven as this is clearly a calling card for Allen-Miller’s step-up to hopefully bigger and more ambitious things. An amusing cameo to boot, guac’tually!

Some clever bits, but overall a story full of cliches that is mostly not funny.

Just funny and fun and earnest without being saccharine the way a US equivalent would have been.

Sıradan 1 ilişki filmi. Ama güzel olanlarından. Gittiği serginin tuvaletinde sevgililerin ayrılan çiftimiz, önce birbirlerini tanımaya, sonra da birbirlerini aşık olmaya başlar. Üstelik sadece 1 günde. O kadar güzel anlatılmış ki. Neon sahneler, incelikli replikler, ikilinin uyumu, harika set tasarımları ve ustalıklı yönetmenlik. Farklı olmanın güzelliği. Filmin sonunda, gel barışalım artık. Benimle sidik yarışı yapanların hepsi üstüne işedi.

A bit all over the place and could have improved with a bit more holding back, letting the romantic moments linger, but perhaps I am comparing it too much to Before Sunrise. The two leads have some energy, but not that sort of chemistry that bursts through the screen and makes a romantic comedy special. Wobbles notably in the obligatory moment of conflict. Amiably high energy and interesting to see where the director goes next.

I have mixed feelings about this. It kind of flew right past me despite being decent, with no particular bad moments to pinpoint; it works but is just kind of slight.

This is a street cred type urban film with some amusing moments and a jolly/uplifting soundtrack played fairly subtley in the background. Its got quite a chilled/laidback feel to it and I liked the cats eye camerawork used at times, plus split screen is used numerous times too. It has the look and feel of a long music video in a way - there isn't music played throughout but for most of it cerainly.

A good rom-com that may not reinvent the wheel, but it avoids being eye-rollingly cliche. Unlike most in the genre, it actually tried. some interesting camera shots and the movie is overloaded with color

Uproariously funny early on and it is an enchanting opening act. Unfortunately, it afterwards lost its way and turned into just another rom-com.

Inspired by Linklater's Before films and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Rye Lane creatively dramatizes the stories Yas and Dom tell each other. The film uses cartoonish moments, with broad caricatures for all characters but the central couple, to contrast their growing attraction with the absurd world around them. Despite the heartbreak and beauty, they find each other as complementary souls and see what happens together in their bubble of two.
