Russian Rhapsody

Adolf Hitler was Germany's Bugs Bunny. For the bulk of my childhood all I knew about world War 2 was from Warner Bros shorts. It's good enough.

Heaven knows I'm all for Nazi-bashing, but, besides being juvenile, hyper, and unfunny (like nearly all these old Warner Bros. toons are), it's kind of sad if you actually read history books time and again and know that, on the murder score, Stalin made Hitler look like a piker. Much is made of Hitler's many political murders and the extermination of 6 million Jews, but Stalin murdered anywhere between 20 and 60 million of his own citizens

Despite being another obvious piece of propaganda, it IS funny seeing Hitler being taken down a few notches. I'd rather this than the dozens of other racist characters Bob has done.

"I'm a gremlin from the Kremlin" was the only chuckle worthy bit in the entire short.

Completely nuts throughout. This is by far the best animated Hitler ever created. The lionization of Stalin certainly stings a bit. Only Clampett could have directed this but Jones must have done some designing; doesn't the little purple gremlin look like Cindy Lou Who?
