Rubber

Rubber (1936) tries to convey the stark contrast between the grotesque party atmosphere of the stock market and the rough jungle conditions of the rubber industry where the wealth in made. And of course the competition for spoiled white women in the jungle. There are footage missing from the surviving print which makes a little hard to watch, but there's no denying it portrays the two worlds effectively, even if the story was struggling.
