I loved a few of the Stephen Chows I'd seen so I watched this for a while after it was recommended for me on imdb. What a load of crap, just not funny - he got way better a few years later thank god

Stephen Chow flick that parodies the wire-fu wuxia pics that were all the rage in Hong Kong in the early 90's. Some decent martial arts, and a vaguely funny story about a lazy coward who manages to charm and swindle his way into wealth and power on both sides of a political struggle. Some of the comedy falls flat, and theres too many dick jokes for my taste.
