Romance Rides the Range

1936
Western
Baritone singer Barry Glendon, completing a successful season in opera, departs for his ranch in the west over the objections of his manager Tony. Arriving there with his double-talking friend Shorty, Barry learns that a parcel of his vast ranch has been fraudulently sold to Carol Marland and her ailing (and tiresome) young brother Johnny. Pretending he is only the foreman, and having his cowhands go along with it,Barry allows Carol and her brother to believe that they are the actual owners. (imdb)

Tenor singer Fred Scott decides to take a holiday out on his ranch when he stumble across a lady in distress. She's bought a fake claim on his ranch... and he the gentleman pretends it's hers. Sweet, isn't he? Sadly the story stops being interesting around that point and turns into a dry poverty row western for most of the durations with some minor moments. Cliff Nazarro adds a little flair though and Bob Kortman makes for a real ugly bad guy.
