Rollercoaster

First-rate disaster movie which tracks out all the dependable disaster movie actors (Fonda, Widmark etc.) and places them in an absurd plot, with laughable and derisive dialogue. Lalo Schifrin's music score is superb, and rises above the material; score is based on my personal weakness for the cycle of 70s disaster films; subtract 30 points if they're really not your cup of tea.

Uncut version. I like movies set in amusement parks, especially when they appear dated. The bomber was revealed too quickly and I'm not sure the film was better for it. We should have learned more about his motivations to make it worthwhile. His knowledge of Harry's police tactics added to the tension. Fav scenes: the final roller coaster ride was great, but the initial derailment was awesome and serious about maiming people.

Filmed in Can-Cer-Round, this little gem features more onscreen smoking than any movie that didn't include the word "reefer" in the title. Still, I miss the 70s and fondly reminisce about how cool it must've been to smoke in public, in the car, at church, in the office, in kindergarten, anywhere.

There are brief moments in one of the scenes at an amusement park where the minor players and extras capture exactly what it means to be young and carefree and alive. Unfortunately, this movie has to keep coming back to the routine plot

Don't remember a lot from this thriller which I watched around 15-20 years ago, around 20 years after it was made. I do recall it being fairly well made with pretty decent visuals and building tension at points.

Disaster film that does nothing to distinguish itself.

Saw this in all its sensurround glory back in the day. That peculiar band Sparks (with an exploding Hitler, no less, on keyboards!) is in this.

An okay thriller.

Ligner en amerikansk tv-krimi, bare knap så godt lavet. Et studie i dårlig klipning, elendig lyd og håbløse spændingseffekter.

Not bad.
