A bizarre parody with elements that would have fit perfectly on the big screen among Jim Carrey and Pauly Shore movies only fifteen years earlier. But something about it just doesn't work, maybe the jokes aren't quite snappy enough, or maybe they're not quite frequent enough, but I wanted to love it, and it just didn't work out--even though Warburton was the perfect pick for the role. On the flipside, Andy Dick is probably never the perfect pick for any role.

Basically an entire movie predicated on "Patrick Warburton would make an awesome square-jawed PI, let's do that!" and it delivers - mostly - but is mostly feel-good obvious jokes instead of really great

Rock Slyde seems like a great idea. Patrick Warburton has a superb comedic presence and Andy Dick is a superb asshole. However a lot of the humour in Rock Slyde feels ham-fisted and dull. Also it attempts to lampoon scientology but does a piss-poor job of it. Even so, it's got enough humourous Warburton moments to make it enjoyable.
