Very brave in terms of aesthetics, politics and storytelling. First and only punk and no wave film of Turkey. As Turkey was rapidly neoliberalizing and Americanizing in late 80s, there was the sadomasochist tension and passion between both countries and their cultures, which are embodied in the characters of Gogo and Robert. Gogo, having discovered her identity, kills the man who holds a mirror to her and completes the dervish circle. Maybe Robert stands for the non-existing Hollywood hero.
