Rimini

A gritty, flagrantly unaesthetic and unheroic character study filled with elderly sex scenes. Protagonist Richie Bravo never gets much of a break from Seidl and very little mercy or forgiveness, but he's not unsympathetic or cynical. It's a very vivid picture of a sort of a fallen idol turned male prostitute, who sort of does what he can within the limits of his grim self-inflicted circumstances. Probably slightly overlong but quite fresh.

This may well be Seidl's bleakest, which is saying something.
