George O'Brien version of Zane Grey's Riders of the Purple Sage (1931). And like most of O'Brien's westerns, they feel a bit too unrehearsed, amplified by this being an early talkie. Relies too much on O'Brien's natural charms, seemingly improvising a lot of the dialogue. Doesn't exactly run fluidly. Regardless this is a average 1930s western without too much to offer.
