Sandy Doyle, gambler and political chief of a small border town, seeks to gain control of the Bar-X Ranch, owned by Rufe Rickson, to further some undercover activities of his own. He counts on Rickson's inability to stay away from gambling as the means to his ultimate success. Pleasant if undistinguished C-Western gets the job done smoothly and efficiently, even giving Page the opportunity to do a couple of narrative-stalling but tuneful songs. Undemanding plotting and the expected lack of real grit or tension means this won't stick in the memory, but fun enough if you're in the mood.

The last of the singing cowgirl. Dorothy Page short career invading the men's territory comes to a close with another poverty row western where she does a few songs and let the cowboys take care of the fighting. Wasn't too bad for a cheap Grand National release. Moves fast enough and they had Vince Barnett take care of the comedy along with Lynn Mayberry, in her only movie appearance for what that is worth.
