A very manly picture. It's about Cossack immigrants, so yeah - macho all the way. In that regard the fight scenes were the most entertaining and Akim Tamiroff was real good as the crime daddy. However, the moral and romance aspect of Ride a Crooked Mile (1938) feels overly lame on both counts. And that's the reason I can't rate it higher.
