Richard's Wedding

Tukel certainly has a way of bringing together a group of outlandish characters to tell a coherent story (the wedding in this case acting as a plot point to make this possible) that is refreshingly playful and daring. There is certainly a feeling of improvisation to some moments in the film, which thankfully did not distract this viewer but rather added to the verve of the film

Oddly likable despite pretty much all the characters being unlikable which for me tends to make movies more likable. It's not very funny but it's kind of funny thinking about which lines were intended to be funny and which the unlikable characters being "funny". Also funny: how poorly it has "aged", all the "chinks" and "retards" and "fucking young women". And I appreciated the way everyone's reliability is casually undermined throughout. But not the lame drug humour.
