Revolutionshochzeit

I remember enjoying August Bloms's Revolutionsbryllup (1915). In 1928 another Dane remade it. A.W. Sandberg for the German Terra-Filmverleih production company and with a handsome Swede in the lead, Gösta Ekman. And the resemblance between the versions are strong. Including the overly long night we have to spend with the lovers. Revolutionsbryllup was a quality production for a 1915 film, but naturally the 1928 is a lot more polished in it's visual finesse. A fine film for the romantic.
