While the ending may be ambiguous and open ended, the themes are not. Stunning imagery awash in shades of , well, gold - or is it dust? I guess the difference is that gold shines and shimmers and possesses weight and agency, whereas dust infiltrates everything and everyone, yet is wanted by neither.
