Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1

Dumb fun. It made me think "the cinematography of this lesbian slime-swapping sex scene is really good" and that made my evening. ...It was not a very eventful evening.

Another fine new offering from Troma. Not quite as good as Poultreygeist but I'm definitely looking forward to Volume 2. Better than the original for sure.

Dumb for the sake of being dumb. The Tiny Tim and barbershop quartet-filled soundtrack was way more inappropriate than any of the gore and nudity in this movie.

Troma's first digital film looks too clean for its own good, and there is a whiff of desperation about returning to an old dead franchise, but Kaufman surprisingly pulls it off, and despite the recycling of the gloriously cheesy 80's theme, it avoids being a nostalgic throwback. The barbershop numbers quickly become annoying, but Corcoran and Paredes have real chemistry, and their bitchy antics are amusing. All in all, there are plenty of laughs and outrageous moments for fans to enjoy.
