Alessandro Blasetti's Resurrectio (1931) was the first talkie to be produced in Italy. Not a 100% talkie. The cinematography and poetic style belongs to the silent era. But there are sporadic dialogue and always a soundtrack with music and atmosphere. The story is a simple depressed romance plot with a ray of positivity creeping in told with pure artistic integrity!
