Some of the scenes may work individually, but taken as a whole this film is a total mess in terms of structure, tone and pacing.

What's fascinating about World War II is that there are so many gripping stories to tell and don't have to make shit up. Here the story of the world famous mime Marcel Marceau. Resistance (2020) is real good. Jesse Eisenberg and his rather comic demeanor naturally commands the mood, or at least lessens the tragic feel of events, resulting in the constant growing hell that was Europe at the time being told in a pleasingly entertaining manner.
