It's definitely a movie.

Hard to buy Danny DeVito in a role like this, or as a leading man. It says "Solid Laugh!" but I don't remember laughing much, and I'm not sure the movie wanted me to laugh. In fact, I remember a good portion of this film being kinda depressing and somber.

I dunno, I always liked the version of the St. Crispin's Day speech from this, and I love Danny DeVito in any role.

I kinda like it. But it's not so good.

The theme explored too much - bad students converted to the learning path by an extraordinary teacher - is shown in yet another version here. It's a shame other threads are not explored. You mostly won't get embarrassed during watching it(except dance scene when a female soldier shows her body in a way which is too pervy to be shown in a 90' movie). Also, I'm not sure but I think I've heard a piece of a song taken from "Cool Runnings" twice. It's one of those funny but not ambitious DeVito's movies.

We know exactly where this picture is going at all times. Holding our attention, however, is a cast of fresh talent among the trainees.

It's like the Dirty Dozen but it uses Shakespeare as a symbol of power rather than firearms and happens to be terrible and boring.

Relying on a weak plot, tries to be an inspirational film.

Good movie about being all you can be. But how is it that Danny DeVito gets the girl?

The only movie I have ever liked with Marky Mark in it.

There's really not a whole lot presented in this take on the old "rag-tag group of soldiers rises above mediocrity" story. No one was particularly likeable, and because of that the film becomes a chore to watch.

As far as inspirational teachers go, DeVito is pretty weak. I did chuckle a bit at some of the supporting cast, but all the attempts to tug at the heartstrings fall flat.

Danny DeVito: "Aggghhh, you crazy kids! I'm gonna inspire you! And then lose hope in you! And then you're gonna give me an organized rap number on how much progress I've actually made, which will inspire ME to keep inspiring YOU and... uhh... the end."

Good, decent film to pass the time, but nothing to really write home about.
