A team oriented movie that leaves you inspired to overcome the greatest obstacles you might face. This football movie shows the struggle to overcome racial prejudiced. The boys must come together to achieve one common goal, winning states. Sports fanatics will love it, and those who aren't will have a greater respect for team sports.

While Remember the Titans is based on football, there are many lessons to be learned throughout the film. Remember the Titans shows many inspiration football scenes that may send chills down your back as you're watching. Away from football, Remember the Titans gives you an up close experience of the life in high school students during the time of racial integration. I give this movie a hands-down rating of 5 stars.

Wow! This movie inspires even the coldest heart with its tale of a racially integrated high school football team with an African American coach set in one of the worst times in history for black people, the 70s. With discrimination running high in America, the team must put aside their racial differences to become one of the greatest teams to ever play. With the bondage that they form at the summer training camp, the Titans march towards victory as an unstoppable force in high school football.

Sappy, inspirational sports film that capitalized on the popularity of the genre at the time. It's not bad but really it's not anything. It doesn't say anything new and what it does say has been said better by other films. Still it's not bad.

More a movie focusing on racial integration than a sports movie, which is a good thing because it excels at the former and is lacking in the latter. Personally, I don't have a whole lot of love for sports movies, but this one has much more to offer than football. If you can roll through the cliche's in this one without faze, then you're going to have a great watch.

Who doesn't love a great movie about football? But Remember the Titans is about so much more. A diverse football has to figure out how they will play football together when they can't even stand to be around each other. A real tear jerker. Predictable but truly hard to resist.

Probably my favorite movie of all time. This is the movie that sent Denzel Washingtons career into the spotlight. I quote this movie all the time and want to watch it whenever possible. Such a great story and to see it all come together at the end was amazing. I even met the original Titans and it made the movie mean so much more because it was true.

Despite its mostly surface approach to a systemic issue, the film still does well to maintain the central racial tension post-training camp integration, as well as add some more nuance with mean cuss Boone and his testy relationship with Yoast ("You just worry about your defence"). And you can't not shed tears at Gary's shedding of prejudice and new friendship with Julius ("I only saw what I was afraid of, and now I know I was only hating my brother"). Good pops of humour and songs throughout.

Well intentioned race relations saga is doomed from the start by the Disney imprimatur which ineveitably soft-shoes many of the story elements. Works best in its first half with Washington doing a great job as the hard-ass whipping his crew into shape; the film falters and becomes too heavy handed in the second half, leading to a bookend finale which indulges hopelessly in the suds. Still a bright, young cast makes it reasonably fun to watch (and extra points for baby Ryan Gosling!)

This film is obviously not as hard-hitting as it could and over-plays some parts, but overall it's a very entertaining, often funny, sometimes emotional movie. You don't need to like (or even know) American football because the themes traverse that and, unfortunately, are still relevant and relatable for 2021.

It is formulaic and predictable but it has some good performances by its cast. It might be better if it wasn't so nostalgic and actually played its racial themes more than in the most superficial way possible. Still, I think it might be the best football movie ever made.

Remember the Titans is one of many cliched ridden sports dramas that panders to it's audience with a blatant message. But there is a lot to enjoy about this feel good sports drama that let's not forget is made by Disney and is aimed at families. The star quality of Denzel Washington elevates this film dramatically and he brings a sense of class and gravitas to the heavy handed subject matter. For teenagers in particular though I think there is a lot to enjoy and take from this film.

Everyone says this film is great, but it sucks. This is by far one of the most overrated films of all time. Period. What's to like about it? It has the same plot as any other sports movie out there, the difference being that this is about overcoming racism. It's also about how evil white people were back in the old days. Who wants to watch 90 minutes of that? Skip this movie and see Mighty Ducks instead.
