Relaxer

A deliberately off-putting but darkly funny indie film that takes the nerd dream of spending all day on the couch, eating junk food and playing video games to its logical and filthy conclusion.

The film was mostly entertaining enough to keep watching but pretty uneven. They could've had more fun with the supposed superpowers and the end was weak.

sticky drama, or... "this is my idea of fun, playin' video games"

It's one of these indies that maybe would work better as a short film.

It's a tough endurance test, even if I'm a fan of time-wasting and gross-out material. Some very funny lines sprinkled through, but not enough to make it a comedy, yet too much of it to make this a drama either, so the tonal struggle is tough for me to embed with. The very ending seems to be commenting on the film's own unwatchable quality -- a bit more thought into this meta level would be appreciated.
