JPEG artifacting hits the big screen! That aside, gospel music deserves a good telling. Unfortunately, its size as fragmented local nature might prove that impossible. However, Rejoice and Shout's route of showing 15ish of Gospel's major label greatest hits in a vacuum, as commented by 10 interviewees, is surely not the way. The weirdo editing and terrible image quality is saved only by incredible archive footage.

Rejoice and Shout offers the most magnificent, heroic examples of art to be found in any movie so far this year.
