Depressing documentary about depressing and boring people (junkies are like that), but I like the idea (probably because I had similar idea myself). I believe it could do without existentialist voice-overs, and just leave the images. That scene with a dude randomly jumping out of balcony caught me unprepared. Some subtitles were missing, so maybe that was mentioned, but I just found out googling that Jani hanged himself shortly after, and director of the film serves time for drug related crimes.

This documentary version of Trainspotting is surprisingly well made. It seems unbelievable that it is just some drug addict who decided to pick up a cheap camera and start filming his friends. It gives an interesting view into the world of Finnish young man, Jani, in his ups and downs as he lives his life day by day, looking for that next fix, but also looking for a way out of his small home town of Rovaniemi. It's frighteningly fascinating to see his joy when Jani anticipates an impending fix.

Even drug addicts have dreams for free of their habits. Jani lived in a small city in a far North. Unfortunately he's got nothing else to do but go with the flow: friends use, he uses. Sad but strongly educative story of one of the users.

Very tragic. When he's escaped you just know it will not end well..

A great drug education film that sadly got a bit too high age limit to be shown in schools. Amateurish but intimate and genuine.

A gruelling documentary about addiction and drug abuse, channelled through Jani, ja 19-year-old Finn struggling with addiction and all the things that come with it. The film is often amateurish and clumsy but the subject matter makes it necessary.
