Red Hollywood

I guess after the brilliance of Los Angeles Plays Itself, i was expecting something a bit less conventional than this from Andersen. I found the voice-over and tone of the film overly earnest, a bit dry and academic, and the onscreen graphics feel stuck in the early Eighties. Still pretty good for what it is though, even if i didn't find much to convince me that any of the movies these leftist screenwriters were making were actually work watching. I'd take Mark Rappaport over this any day.
